My mom (who is a loyal follower of my blog- Hi Mom!) recently sent me some pictures of her co-worker's daughter's wedding in upstate New York. Since it was also an outdoor ceremony and tented reception, I was eager to take a look. Let me just say, Wow! The decor truly captured the spirit of a fall wedding, take a look...
A chalkboard sign directed guests. I definitely want some signs made for our wedding (Dad??)...
Baskets of fruit served as centerpieces down long tables outdoors, with lanterns strung overhead.
Sunflowers added a decorative touch and a suggestion of summer harvest.
I love the look of long tables. I would love to do something like this for our wedding but unfortunately, space is limited and round tables do a better job of maximizing space. Still....
Towards the evening, the party shifted into a tent. I love how they decorated the entrance to the tent, using old shutters and lattice to create a dramatic entrance.

This was a beautiful harvest wedding whose pictures I keep coming back to for inspiration. Congrats to the newlyweds and thanks for sharing your gorgeous wedding!
Hey Mara, I'm Fran's daughter, Leah. I am honored that you posted pics from my wedding on your blog! I have heard lots about your wedding, too, of course, so I am excited to look through your blog and check it out.
ReplyDeleteLet me know if you'd like to see more pictures, I'd be happy to share any photos and/or knowledge I've gleaned from this process!

That is so gorgeous! I also love the long banquet-style tables and I'm trying to figure out a way to make them fit into my tented reception... LOL
