Don't misunderstand, I have really enjoyed the planning process thus far and deep in my soul know that I am glad the wedding is still 6 months away since I will be sad when it's all over and done with (and there's still so much to do!)
But right now the anxious, patience-lacking child of 5 inside of me is saying "I just want the wedding to be nooooooooow..." After planning for 8 months thus far, the anticipation is killing me but the wedding still seems so far off.
June brides, we've officially hit the 6 month countdown. Time to start handling all the little details I've avoided thus far (transportation, ugh!) and make this wedding come together. It's go-time, baby...
Ya feel me? Anyone else realizing how quickly and yet so far away the wedding seems?
wait, you're getting married!!??
ReplyDeleteI'm doing the same thing! In one respect it's OMG WANNA GET MARRIED NOW, and then again it feels like we don't have enough time to get everything done!
ReplyDeleteI've been planning for a year now (officially 12 months) and still have about 4 1/2 months to go. I am starting to feel the stress of the time line crunch and to-do list unchecked items. I am also excited for it to just finally be here but love the planning and engagement phase of life.
ReplyDeleteAt the same time, I am trying to drag it out...as much as I love my mister...I'm 37 and have never been married. I have my little girl (who is not so little at 14 years) but I share joint custody of her with her dad (the only man I ever lived with and only for 2 years). So basically, I am relishing my (sort of) singlehood and freedom of having my own place...wondering what it will be like to have to move into a 'man's' pad and try to figure out living together. Perhaps I should make this a post? wink, wink
I'm totally feeing the same way...although I've been engaged/planning now for 13 months...so I've gotten a bit lazy with the planning. But now it's 6 months away and I feel way behind! ack! time to get going!!
ReplyDeleteOurs is the next month! 7 months away, kind of crazy.
